Yogi Times Community Spa Review March 2005 Stellar Spa: A day of beauty and renewal
Located in the beautiful old historic square in Corte Madera, 20 minutes north of San Francisco, the elegant Stellar Spa offers a range of unique and decadent spa services designed to bring every client's inner beauty to the surface. The spa's approach is individualized, tailoring treatments to each person. Clients can receive everything from a Moisture Fusion Facial to Seawater Negative Ion Inhalation therapy.
A day spent at Stellar Spa is like attending a one-day personal renewal. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, sophisticate yet casual. A soothing mix of greens, ivory, white and natural elements like wood and bamboo provide a feeling of serenity and detachment. The spa's boutique provides clients with plenty of opportunities to browse for natural skin care products and cosmetics, including Stellar's own line of natural products as well as teas from Elixir.
On my visit to Stellar, I received their Thai Honey Facial. The facialist was extremely well educated with a background in chemistry and cosmetic preparation, giving the experience a whole new dimension. As the treatment was performed, I was informed about the ingredients and their functions, the different combinations of products that would most benefit me, proper hygiene techniques for the skin and what my particular needs were at this time of the year. We went over various brands and discussed the pros and cons. The experience was as educational as it was relaxing and rejuvenating.
If it had not been for the fact that they were closing, I might have missed my plane and stayed forever. Stellar Spa is certainly a place where it is easy to forget time and the cares of the world, even just for a little while.
Stellar Spa also offers "The Junior Esthetics Program" which is designed for licensed Estheticians who have recently graduated from a comprehensive esthetic program to work under the guidance of Mary Anne Rubin, Co-Owner & Esthetician of Stellar Spa.
